Coronation Street and Emmerdale face more schedule changes tonight on ITV1. The soaps have been forced to take a back seat due to the broadcaster’s coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Both Corrie and Emmerdale will air at different times tonight

The soaps usually air every weeknight on ITV1 and ITVX. Fans can tune in to the drama in the Dales at 8pm, followed by the chaos in Weatherfield at 8.30pm.

Tonight the soaps will air earlier than usual due to the broadcast of Argentina vs Cape Verde. Coverage begins at 10.15pm, which means the Friday night programmes we all know and love have been brought forward on the schedule.

Emmerdale airs at 7.45pm followed by Coronation Street at 8.15pm. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? follows the soaps at 8.45pm, before Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad at 9.45pm.

Tonight’s description for the drama in the Dales reads: “Cain warns Graham and the rest of Tates to stay away from Kyle, while Kev tells Charles he fears that Lewis wants nothing to do with him.”

Over in Weatherfield: “The Driscolls pray for justice as Megan’s verdict is delivered. Abi identifies her evasive landlord, Sam makes peace with Nick, and Hope and Ruby plan a surprise for Tyrone.”

The soaps face more cancellations next week, but fans will be pleased to know an extra episode has been added in on Sunday (July 5) to make up for missing episodes.

Emmerdale airs Sunday at 7.15pm followed by Coronation Street at 7.45pm.
