Joe is set to play Lenny, who will first appear in the show later this month when it starts to be revealed that Christina Boyd (played by Amy Robbins) is hiding a secret from her partner George (played by Tony Maudsley).

Lenny will be revealed as the estranged husband of Christina, whom she has been meeting up with behind George’s back.

George is set to find out the truth from his sister Glenda after she does some digging into Christina’s background.

A Coronation Street insider told Digital Spy: “There’s a lot of love for Christina these days, and those close to her hope that she’s being genuine with George.

“But her shifty actions have caused suspicion, and when Glenda goes through her handbag, she gets a clue that changes everything!”

Who did Joe Osborne use to play in Coronation Street?

Joe had appeared in Coronation Street back in 2023 and played Jason Waterford, a businessman who tried to buy the Rover Return from landlady Jenny Connor (played by Sally Ann Matthews).

His character featured in a few episodes and ended up becoming involved in a trading scandal with Ronnie Bailey (played by Vinta Morgan).

Before playing Jason, Joe also starred as Rod Kempson in 2017, making this his third time on the show.
