Here’s how the John Deere Classic prize money will be awarded at the PGA Tour event.
The John Deere Classic prize money is once again on the rise.
The purse at TPC Deere Run – the last PGA Tour event on American soil ahead of the 154th Open Championship – increased by $400,000 to $8.8 million, with the winner taking home the standard 18% share.
In addition to the healthy pay day, winner Chris Gotterup will receive the standard perks of 500 FedEx Cup points, a two-year PGA Tour exemption, and a rather snazzy trophy.
Gotterup will now head over the Atlantic to defend his Genesis Scottish Open crown.
