The PS Store’s big July Savings sale is now live, running from now until 15th July 2026.
As is always the case, this offer is enormous, with thousands of PS5 and PS4 games available at discounted prices.

1000xRESIST is all in on story, and this laser focus allows it to tell one of the most captivating and intriguing experiences you can have in video games. This sci-fi adventure sees an alien disease almost wipe out humanity, but one person is immune, and they rebuild society underground by cloning her. Combining visual novel elements with exploration, it’s not the most challenging game to play, but its narrative more than makes it worthwhile.

If you’re looking for a chilled out puzzle game to wind down with, A Monster’s Expedition comes highly recommended. It’s one of those puzzlers with a seemingly straightforward set of mechanics, but it uses them in increasingly smart ways to really test your brainpower. Set across hundreds of tiny islands you need to navigate by pushing logs into the water, its forgiving nature and gentle presentation make it a lovely game to get lost in.

Afterlove EP is a bittersweet musical adventure that effectively navigates some tough subject matter. While the rhythm sequences are a little rough around the edges, exploring the town and moving through the narrative is well worth experiencing on its own — and the music itself is great. If you’re in the mood for a story-driven game that isn’t shying away from heavy themes, this will hit the spot.

Arcade Paradise starts out as a relatively derivative simulator-type title, but it blossoms into a brilliant tycoon. As you slowly expand your laundromat into an arcade, you’ll uncover all kinds of genuinely entertaining minigames. With a hearty mix of management and retro gaming goodness, this is one of the more addictive indies in quite some time.

Axiom Verge is PlayStation’s very own Metroid. That may sound a teensy bit degrading, but there’s no denying that this and Nintendo’s own space-faring adventure have more than a few things in common. Still, if being compared to one of the most beloved game series of all time isn’t a compliment, then we don’t know what is. If you’ve never seen the appeal of these types of games, then chances are this won’t change your mind. Devoted fans of the genre, however, will no doubt adore Tom Happ’s opus.

Half interactive story, half cube-based puzzler, Catherine: Full Body is the expanded remaster of Atlus’ brilliantly weird take on love. You play as Vincent, a 32-year-old bachelor who can’t quite decide if he wants to commit to his long-term girlfriend. His potential infidelity gives way to suspiciously vivid nightmares where he’s forced to scramble up towers made of blocks, lest he wake up dead. It’s as mental as it sounds, but the tactile puzzles are addictive, and the storytelling is gripping at its best.

If you’re after a striking and unique puzzle game, Chants of Sennaar should be high on your list. With a focus on understanding and translating a series of fictional languages, you make progress in this game by piecing together the meaning of symbols and characters throughout the world. DmC: Devil May Cry – Definitive Edition is one of the more thoughtful remasters on the PS4, and its emphasis on modifiers means that you can more or less tailor the experience to your tastes. We’re still not sure whether old-school Devil May Cry fans will allow themselves to enjoy Ninja Theory’s take on the series, but many of the tweaks have been designed with those outspoken individuals in mind. For everyone else, the Cambridge-based company’s confident take on Capcom’s character action classic is well worth playing – and even if its previous generation hallmarks are still present, its upscaled visuals and boosted framerate make this particular edition heaven sent.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 improves upon the first game in pretty much every way. This spin-off combines the RPG trappings of Dragon Quest with Minecraft-style building and survival mechanics, resulting in a robust and addictive adventure. With a better story and characters, smoother progression, and charming presentation, this is a successful offshoot of the historic franchise.
