Peter Hoey
The Irish family-owned contractor said the restructure will sharpen strategic focus and strengthen operational delivery across its expanding markets.
As part of the changes, Peter Hoey has been appointed business unit managing director, Europe.
Hoey, who joined Collen in 2018, will oversee the company’s operations across the continent.
Supporting him is Ger Kelly, a 20-year Collen veteran, who becomes construction director – operations, Europe, with responsibility for project delivery and operational performance.
Derek O’Conner
Derek O’Connor has been named business unit managing director for Ireland and the UK, leading the contractor’s operations across its home markets.
O’Connor joined Collen in 2023 after spending more than 25 years with a tier-one contractor.
The reshuffle also sees David Barron promoted from group technical director to chief technical and innovation officer.
Barron, who joined from BAM UK & Ireland in 2023, will lead the group’s digital delivery, technical capability and innovation strategy.
Meanwhile, Bruce Greig has been promoted to commercial director, Sweden.
Greig, who joined Collen in 2019 after previously working for Kier in Scotland, will support the company’s commercial growth in Sweden and other “emerging” European markets.
