Karolina Muchova into the semi-finals
A beaming Karolina Muchova says: “It’s unbelievable, I’m super happy with today’s win, with this atmosphere. I don’t know if you guys, I’ve played three times on this court and it’s been 0-3, not been a good relationship with this court! But I’m super happy we finally made it today. Thank you for supporting us, it was unbelievable.
“I was very nervous! She is an unbelievable athlete, we played a week ago against each other so we know each other pretty well. You can’t lose that focus, because you give her a little chance, she takes it and it goes the other way. All the best to her, she is a great tennis player… sorry, I don’t know what I’m saying!”
She adds: “I love grass. The season is so short for us so I try to enjoy it. It’s perfect that I can be here in the second week and prolong this season.”
She will play seventh seed Coco Gauff in the semis.

Karolina Muchova knocks out Naomi Osaka
Pressure, what pressure? Muchova rattles to a love hold to serve out the match, firing home two aces to seal a spot in the Wimbledon last four. She beams with delight and waves to the crowd, while No 1 Court shows it appreciation for an obviously devastated Osaka, who waves sadly as she heads off. It’s been a superb tournament for her, but she couldn’t break down Muchova today.

Over on No 1 Court, Naomi Osaka has unravelled under consistent pressure from Karolina Muchova, and after a mammoth service game was broken for the first time in this set, shanking an overhead wide.
Muchova will serve for a place in a Wimbledon semi-final for the first time…
