Thousands of spectators lined the streets to witness a full evening of fast-paced criterium racing across multiple categories, with a vibrant atmosphere and high-quality performances combining to create one of the standout events on the UK cycling calendar.
The headline Lister Horsfall Grand Prix produced a dramatic contest, with Toby Barnes emerging victorious after a relentless battle at the front of the field.
He eventually broke clear to cross the line 44 seconds ahead of Jacob Bush, who secured a hard-fought second place following a strong and consistent ride.
In the Milly Grace Women’s Grand Prix, Anna Morris delivered an impressive and controlled performance to take the win, mastering the technical circuit and maintaining her advantage under pressure.
The Bini Brew Co Classic also provided plenty of intrigue, with Jody Mills executing a smart tactical race to claim victory in a tightly contested field.

Experience came to the fore in the Andy’s Man Club Masters race, where David Shackleton powered to victory against a strong group of seasoned riders.
Meanwhile, the MAS Design Youth Races offered a glimpse into the sport’s future, with Daniel Shipton setting the fastest time of the evening and underlining his potential as one to watch.
Off the circuit, the event retained its strong community feel, with spectators enjoying a lively festival-style atmosphere.
A wide selection of local food and drink vendors added to the experience, including Lishmans, Loaf & Loaded, Bloom Coffee, Bini Brew, and Martinez, all of whom contributed to a bustling street-food scene throughout the evening.
“Friday’s Ilkley Cycle Races just keep getting bigger and better every year,” said Linford from Loaf & Loaded.
“The atmosphere was absolutely incredible — the streets were packed, the energy was unreal, and it was brilliant to be part of a community coming together like that.
“We’re proud to be involved in an event that showcases Ilkley at its very best, and we can’t wait for next year.”
Event organisers Ilkley Cycling Club paid tribute to the volunteers whose efforts were key to the event’s success.
From early morning setup through to the final race and post-event clean-up, their dedication ensured the races ran safely, smoothly, and with the welcoming atmosphere that has become synonymous with the occasion.
They also highlighted the continued importance of sponsors and local partners, whose support allows the event to remain free for spectators while helping to sustain both elite competition and grassroots cycling development.
“Friday’s races showed exactly what this community can achieve when everyone pulls together,” said event manager Tom Harris.
“We had record crowds, outstanding racing across every category, and a fantastic atmosphere all evening.
“From riders to volunteers to our sponsors, everyone stepped up — and it’s that shared effort that keeps raising the bar year after year.”
With record attendance and a series of memorable performances, this year’s Ilkley Cycle Races reinforced its reputation as one of the premier criterium events in the country.
