Corrie fans think they have spotted what will aid the reunion of former couple Abi and Kevin Webster in the ITV soap

Coronation Street fans think that they have spotted the ‘perfect storyline’ to aid the reunion of former couple Abi and Kevin Webster as it kicked off this week in the long-running show.
As those who follow the ITV soap know, Kevin, who has been seen in Weatherfield for more than 40 years, recently had a difficult time of it, first starting with his cancer diagnosis last year before he was left heartbroken by his wife Abi.
But not only did Kevin discover she was having an affair with his brother Carl Webster, who was later confirmed to be his nephew, as Debbie Webster had been hiding that he was her son, but Kevin had to deal with seeing them together as a couple following their split.

Kevin plummeted into a dark place until Abi came to his rescue when he took himself up onto the Underworld factory roof. While initially wanting her to leave him alone, Kevin and Abi opened up to one another, with Abi explaining that, while she loved him, she wasn’t in love with him as she used to be.
Kevin eventually accepted that things were different now, and that he needed to pull himself together for his, and Jack’s, sake. Since then, the former couple have been on good terms, especially when Debbie faced time inside for a crime she didn’t commit, thanks to Carl’s lies.
But months on from their heart-to-heart, Corrie viewers think they have spotted a hint of a possible reunion between the pair, as Kevin supports Abi during her latest turmoil. This week, Abi rushed her son, Alfie, to the hospital with breathing difficulties, before it was revealed that he and his mum had been living around mould in their flat.

Idris Nazir, whom Abi only recently discovered is her landlord, roped teenager Brody Michaelis into helping him sort out some repairs on Abi’s flat, and as they completed some moisture readings on the walls, Idris was quickly panicked by what he found.
He ended up going to the hospital to check on Alfie’s condition, not realising that Carl had already discovered what was likely behind Alfie’s ill health. Abi has since threatened to drag Idris through the courts, while Kevin offered for her and Alfie to stay with him and Jack for the time being.
