It still feels like we’re waiting for something major to happen with the Halo series, especially considering a new game has been teased for 2026, but there’s actually a lot happening right now – a quiet but significant resurgence, if you will.
It spans multiple games at the moment. Halo’s Master Chief has returned to Fortnite recently, Helldivers 2 has teased a Halo ODST crossover that’ll likely be announced soon, and Halo Infinite just received a big August update this month.
In fact, Halo YouTuber MintBlitz highlighted some of these, along with a few others, in a recent tweet that went viral:

In terms of the latter bits, we know that Halo Studios will be revealing something at the Halo World Championships in late October, and many believe it could be a Halo 1 remaster or remake that’s been rumoured for some time.
The company also confirmed that it’s “actively” working on multiple Halo projects, so perhaps we might learn of more this October? There’s no word on what the others might be, but we’re intrigued for anything Halo-related to be honest.
So, yeah. They might not be making a big song and dance about it, but Halo Studios is definitely “ramping up” with the Halo coverage right now, and here’s hoping we’ll have some really cool stuff to get excited about in two months’ time!
