The group moved onto Hart Common on July 9 after previously occupying Westhoughton Golf Club.
Members of the group rode around the green in large four-by-four cars, according to the manager of Hart Common Golf Club, and the club itself has had to close.

The Hart Common manager said: “They moved here yesterday. We tried to stop them by locking up but we didn’t move quickly enough.
“They’ve parked on the car park and on the green – they were riding around on the green the other night in their cars.
“A woman from the council came round to do a welfare check on them earlier.
“They aren’t in at the moment – apparently they’ve gone to the seaside for the day.
“We’ve contacted a bailiff agency, so they’re going to be round soon to serve them an eviction notice, after which they’ll have 24 hours to leave.”
The club has had to shut in the meantime, and they will likely be shut tomorrow (July 11) while the issue is sorted out.

The Travellers came to Hart Common Golf Club after being evicted from Westhoughton Golf Club on July 9.
The group at Westhoughton Golf Club originally asked the club for £30k to move on, reducing their offer to £3k after the club sent bailiffs round, according to the club chairman.
But the group ended up leaving the Westhoughton Golf Club site once the club after being handed an eviction notice by bailiffs.
