Dorset Museum & Art Gallery in Dorchester will launch its new Community Access Ticket from Saturday, July 25, offering entry for £6.20 for visitors on means-tested benefits.
The ticket is available to those receiving Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support, or Jobseeker’s Allowance.

“This new ticket reflects our commitment to increasing participation and ensuring that as many people as possible can enjoy our collections, stories and activities.”
Up to four adults per household can use the discounted rate, while children aged 15 and under will continue to visit for free.
A spokesperson from Dorchester Family Hub said: “At Dorchester Family Hub, we welcome initiatives that help make opportunities more accessible for local families.
“Dorset Museum’s Community Access Ticket will enable more families to enjoy learning, culture and quality time together, helping to create positive experiences and lasting memories.”
Tickets will be available to buy at the museum’s Welcome Desk from July 25.
