Just in time for the summer holidays, Five Guys has launched a new ‘Big Kids Combo’ – and it’s giving serious McDonald’s Happy Meal vibes.
Designed ‘for the whole family’, the limited-time offer plays to Five Guys’ biggest strength: hefty portions.
While a build-your-own kids’ menu has been around since 2025, this latest addition, starting at £15.50, lets customers swap the usual single-patty burger for a regular two-patty version.
Alongside your choice of burger, with up to 15 free toppings on offer, you’ll also get a Mini Fries (Salted or Cajun) and a Big Kids Soda or Little Shake.
If a Little Shake won’t cut it, you can upgrade to a Big Kids Shake for an additional cost.

Sounds like the perfect summer lunch, right? Well, there’s one serious catch.
Unlike the Golden Arches, kids won’t spot any themed toys waiting for them on their trays.

Made loud and clear by the meal’s official slogan ‘No. Toy. Needed’, the fast food chain has taken an official stance.
While McDonald’s customers will find an array of World Cup-themed toys in Happy Meals up and down the country, Five Guys is putting all the emphasis on the food.
For generations of Brits, Happy Meal toys have become a defining part of childhood nostalgia.
Over the past few decades, they’ve captured every snapshot of pop culture – from Beanie Babies and Hot Wheels to Pokemon and Disney.
One TikTok user @Luca shared that ‘the nostalgia [he] gets from a Happy Meal toy is unexplainable.’
Another, @Nyx, added that seeing others post about their collectables is ‘like finding old memories that I thought were gone.’
Of course, if you secretly loathe the mountain of McDonald’s toys taking up space on the kitchen counter, this news might just make your day.
Despite this, a number of customers still seem keen to get their hands on the new meal.
Reacting to the news on Instagram, one user, @mrskeltonelli, wrote: ‘Good! I’ve been thinking about a five guys for a very long time.’
Meanwhile, @hima_sai commented: ‘Love seeing campaigns like this.’
@Sarahbeauty added ‘Please make this a permanent addition!’
For families whose kids have small appetites, one thing to remember is that Five Guys still offers a regular build-your-own kids’ meal which starts from just £7.
It includes your choice of a Little Hamburger, Hot Dog or Grilled Cheese Sandwich.
You’ll also get Mini Fries (Salted or Cajun) and either a Little Shake or Mini Soda.

Exclusively available for dine-in customers in select stores across the UK, the offer marks the chain’s participation in the Great British Summer Savings project – an industry-wide initiative to help parents out this summer.
Revealed back in May, the Labour government set out plans to enforce a series of new policies, each aimed at easing the burden on British families facing rising fuel prices and higher energy and food bills.
The project includes savings on theme parks and adventure attractions, cinema discounts, theatre discounts, money off at the supermarket, free bus travel for under 15s, and a freeze on fuel duty.
Like many of the other ongoing summer savings schemes, the Five Guys offer will come to a close on September 1.
