Last month, Nintendo teased a brand-new Lego Donkey Kong set via the Nintendo Today app. In an update, it seems we’ve now got our first look via a leak.
According to a photo doing the rounds online, this new set is based on the classic ‘Donkey Kong Arcade’ video game. It will apparently be arriving in August for $200 USD and contains 1,367 pieces.

Lego previously expanded its Super Mario Lego line with smaller Donkey Kong sets featuring not only DK, but other characters like Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong.
This news about a premium Donkey Kong set follows Lego’s reveal of multiple new Pokémon sets earlier this week.

It’s on like Pokemon, too. 🔴⚪
$300 dollars worth!
Yeah, this one certainly is cool. Peaks my interest at least.
Now how do I convince my better half that we absolutely need this…?
That’s pretty awesome. I don’t think I would go for that one though.
I like that! Probably have to get that one.
This will look great next to my Pac-Man arcade set!
“HEY, Donkey Kong LEGO set Insufficient Funds to Complete Transaction screen coming up, everybody!…”
Damn it. Looks like after saying no more Lego, I’m getting more Lego.
Not a Lego guy but might have to break the rules for that one.
Most likely I won’t go for it myself considering the usual factors (price, lack of space for it etc.), but it looks great – happy for those getting it and so glad to see the Nintendo Lego sets continuing!
Looks pretty cool,
but at what point does it stop really being Lego?
The good ol’ days where DK was still a villain, like he was designed to be.
I love Bananza from a gameplay perspective, but the DK persona makes zero sense these days. Then again, that’s also typical Nintendo.
Billy Mitchell will get this and replace the black parts for the joystick with red ones.
If they made it playable, that would be REAL cool
