A Redcar woman has turned her back on the corporate world and is on a mission to educate others on spiritual awakening. After years of therapy, coaching and training, Leanne Jones has set up her own business in the area of somatics and life force energy.

The 34-year-old said: “It is my mission to teach, coach and educate others on the understanding of the nervous system, how to move emotion and energy through their body and connect to their body so it becomes a safe place to live and inhabit.

“I cover all things multidimensional and even have a podcast launched called ‘Modern Shakti Files’.”

Leanne says her childhood wasn’t easy so she “adapted”. She said: “I became a pre-elite gymnast, learning early how to bend, flip, and contort to survive. At school, I became the class clown, doing backflips down corridors to buy the validation I was missing.”

At 19, Leanne started work as a cleaner at a steel works and by 26 she was a senior manager in a multi-million pound property company. But, while she was deemed successful she suffered panic attacks and chronic stress.

She said it was in 2021 while doing kundalini – a spiritual energy practice – that her life changed. She said: “My heart burst open on a beach, an undeniable, mystical awakening that shattered my old reality. I left the boardroom and followed the source.”

Leanne then started studying the mind-body connection and it has resulted in her launching her company – The Conscious Healing School – after investing £75,000 in professional and spiritual expertise.

She said: “Before spirituality, I audited external safety systems. Now, I audit the most important one of all – the nervous system. My background as an ISO Lead Auditor and NEBOSH Diploma holder trained me in structural integrity, risk assessment, and boundaries. Those same principles now underpin my energetic and emotional work. Spiritual depth requires structure.”
