Case in point: one of the top threads over in the Xbox Reddit community this weekend is someone who captured a photo of an apparent “wild Gecko” inside their Xbox Series X, racking up thousands of upvotes and hundreds of likes along the way.

Here’s a look at the image:

The reaction to this has been significant, and mainly one of repulsion due to the roach that’s also visible in the image, prompting plenty of fans to promote tips about how to keep your console as clean as possible.

As you’d expect, there have been plenty of Gex Trilogy jokes as well…

Of course, there’s always a chance that the Gecko belongs to the original poster and they snapped this photo for a joke, and a couple of people have even claimed it could be an AI image — although at first glance we don’t think it is.

In any case, for a bit of Sunday fun, we’re going to pose the question to you – have you ever found any bugs or creatures inside your Xbox console, and how clean in general is your Series X or Series S right now? Tell us below!
