A big day in the Massif Central raised several questions for the GC hopefuls at the Tour de France.

Another mountain stage at the Tour de France, this time in the Massif Central, left us with plenty of talking points on Tuesday. Tadej Pogačar, to nobody’s surprise, dashed any hopes of a French victory on Bastille Day with a searing solo attack on the Puy Mary.
Behind, the other big GC names went into chase mode, with Remco Evenepoel briefly dropped only to return and nab second on the day behind Pogačar, who crossed the line first at Le Lioran, where Jonas Vingegaard beat him in a two-up sprint two years ago.
With so many big names and big storylines in play, we came away from stage 10 of the Tour de France pondering some big questions …
Is intra-team rivalry fueling Evenepoel … or have he and Lipowitz truly made up?
Evenepoel’s rollercoaster final 10 km may have been the most interesting storyline of the day. With Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) up the road and en route to his solo victory, Evenepoel was back with his Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe teammate Florian Lipowitz as well as Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike), the Lidl-Trek duo of Juan Ayuso and Mattias Skjelmose, and Paul Seixas (Decathlon-CMA CGM). Vingegaard did most of the pulling as they chased on the Col de Font de Cère, but then Lipowitz put in a big dig that promptly spat his own teammate out the back.
