Around 50kg of beef, from Island farmer Conor Moore, was dispatched to the Wimbledon Food and Drink team.

The meat was butchered and prepared by staff at Ryde-based company Island Foods.

Butcher Mick, from Island Foods, took the 1.30am ferry last Wednesday morning (July 8).

A spokesperson for the company said: “A long journey, but one worth making when it’s for one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

“We like to think our beef will be serving up some serious flavour, making a few winning points along the way!”

This was Island Foods’ fourth year of feeding players, guests, and staff at one of the world’s most iconic sporting events.

Meanwhile, tomatoes grown on the Isle of Wight also featured on the menu.

A spokesperson for Isle of Wight Tomatoes said: “We’re proud to see our tomatoes on the menu at The Championships, Wimbledon 2026 – bringing bold colour, fresh flavour and a taste of the island to one of the world’s most iconic sporting events.

“From vibrant tomato salads to beautifully seasonal dishes, our tomatoes are being served up courtside in true Wimbledon style.”
