This is according to Bird Guides, a website where avid twitchers can report sightings.

According to the report, an Osprey has been spotted flying overhead in Padgate, near Withers Avenue.

The beautiful bird of prey was last seen at around 2:30 pm on July 16.

Ospreys are considered a rare breeding bird in the UK, and there are suspected to be around 300-400 breeding pairs.

The majority are located in Scotland, although there are growing populations in England and Wales.
