Tennis legend Roger Federer enjoyed a day’s golf – another of his favourite pastimes – at one of Mallorca’s courses on Friday 17 July. The Swiss player visited Golf Son Gual, a course situated on the Palma-Manacor road, next to the Sant Jordi neighbourhood. The news was revealed by the golf resort itself via its Instagram account.
This is not the first time that Roger Federer has chosen Mallorca as a destination for his summer getaways. The island has become a favourite spot for the world-class tennis player, who has visited the region on several occasions in recent years. The Swiss player’s most recent documented getaway took place in July 2025.
At the time, Federer shared several photographs on his Instagram account showing him enjoying a day’s golf at Pula Golf alongside his close friend and rival on the court, Rafael Nadal. Federer, who has on several occasions expressed his fondness for the island, captioned the images with the words: ‘Anyone up for a match against us?’.
During that same trip, the Swiss player also visited the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor. Nadal accompanied Federer on a tour of the facilities and some of the academy’s residents had the chance to have their photograph taken with two of the greatest tennis players in history.
The last time the pair were seen together in public before that visit was on 25 May, during the tribute paid to Nadal by Roland Garros on the Philippe Chatrier court.
