The incident began on Grosvenor Road in Lowestoft at around 6.45pm on Saturday and involved what police described as “a disturbance and physical altercation believed to involve a small group of people.”

Officers were called and a male suspect was seen in St John’s Road. He then climbed on to the roof of a property in that road.

Road closures were in place on St John’s Road and Mill Road but they have since reopened.
A cordon was also in place.

A Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service crane was lifted onto a house on St John’s Road with two fire crews on board.
The two fire crew members got the man down from the roof.

He was later arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre (PIC).
A 13-year-old boy was also arrested at 7.35pm on suspicion of common assault, obstructing a police officer, and assaulting an emergency worker.

He remains in custody for questioning.
