A family from Nottingham are going through unimaginable horror after their loved one, Summer Rose Miles, who was 17 weeks pregnant, died suddenly — a fundraiser has now been set up to support them

A teenager from Nottingham who was 17 weeks pregnant has tragically died after suffering a brain haemorrhage while at home with her mum.
Summer Rose Miles, who lived in Bestwood Park, collapsed suddenly on July 9. An air ambulance critical care team rushed to her address to deliver treatment, before she was taken Queen’s Medical Centre where she was ventilated in the ambulance.
She was then put on life support at the hospital, where she eventually gave birth to her little baby, who was born sleeping. Tragically, this happened on the day when she should have been at a planned gender reveal party with her loved ones.
Summer underwent emergency surgery but because the damage to her brain stem was too critical, her devastated family had to say a gut-wrenching final goodbye.

Her sister, Chloe Jade, heartbreakingly revealed to us the teenager “couldn’t wait to be a mum” and was excited for the party. She has since started a GoFundMe page to help devastated parents, Mandy and Scott Miles, have enough funds to give Summer and her tiny baby the send off they deserve.
Chloe, who was raised with her loved ones in Top Valley, said: “She loves children so much, and although young, and it was a shock for everyone, we know she’d have been the best mummy ever, and everyone was looking forward to the next chapter.”
Summer had some struggles in school but she later made her family proud with how well she did in college.
And it was during this time when she met her boyfriend and best friend, Carson, who like everyone else close to Summer, is struggling to comprehend how quickly life has changed.

Chloe said she noticed that Summer gained instant maturity after getting pregnant, adding: “She had a different light about her — it was beautiful.”
However, despite things looking up, Summer cruelly had her final day on earth on July 12.
And speaking about the fatal brain haemorrhage, Chloe said: “The doctors said it was spontaneous, tragic and rare, especially in her age and pregnancy. Summer was otherwise fit and healthy.”
The baby gender reveal was supposed to happen on July 11 but Summer’s sudden collapse two days before changed everything.
Chloe said it was impossible to put into words how raw the family’s grief still was.
She added that her sister was so excited for the gender reveal — and was sure that a little girl was awaiting her.

Chloe said: “The gender reveal decorations and plans were all prepped by my mum, following a private scan gifted to her from her boyfriend’s family who would have also attended.
“Unfortunately the scan never had a chance to happen. One of the last things Summer told my mum was that she was thankful for how nice she had made the garden look for her big day outside.”
Summer and her mum Mandy have a close relationship and the daughter was like her “shadow” at times.
Chloe meanwhile described her as a “whirlwind of chaos and laughter” and tributes since her shock death have emphasised just how highly regarded she was by pals.
Road trips, seaside visits and sibling tattletales are all things Chloe has incredible memories of with her “little rebel” of a sister who she said had “youngest child syndrome”.
Spending time with horses was a shared passion and Summer received a pony called Princess on her seventh birthday.

Looking back fondly, Chloe added: “She would always want to ride my Rosie, because she loved a challenge!”
Summer was also close with her older brother, Jordan, who was her biggest protector.
She once wanted to be just like him, and was described as a tomboy, before Chloe later noticed Summer walking around in a pair of her high heels.
Growing up, she loved swimming with her dad, and would even cheer him on from the side of the pitch when he played football.
As she got older, she took great pleasure in spending quality time with her niece, Ava, and Chloe said this brought her great comfort knowing how close they were.
One of the funniest things about Summer was that she always turned up her drum and bass music during car journeys — simply to block out her loved ones calling it “rubbish”.

But laughing at a recent memory, Chloe said: “We went to a Coldplay and Oasis tribute a few weeks back and she sang her heart out to Coldplay with us and it was so special.
“When she first told me her new favourite song was Yellow, we sent a video singing it together to her dad to show how far she’d come with her music taste.”
Sadly, Summer, loved by many for her fun, bubbly and bright personality, suffered a death that came far too soon.
And despite taking comfort in the special memories, Chloe and her family are going through unimaginable pain.
They are trying to arrange a fitting farewell and writing on GoFundMe, Chloe said: “My world has fallen apart, and my heart is broken beyond words. I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of my family to offer whatever help and support I can during the most devastating time of our lives.

“No parent should ever have to bury their child, especially a 17-year-old daughter and her baby. We are not asking for anything more than a little help towards easing the financial burden that comes with arranging the beautiful farewell that Summer and her baby deserve.
“We will give them the best send-off we possibly can, no matter what & no matter the cost, but if I can take even a small amount of pressure away from Mum and Dad, it would mean everything and more.”
