O2 activates 500th Giga Site across UK
Virgin Media O2 has announced the deployment of the 500th O2 ‘Giga Site’ in the UK. This latest advanced mobile site was activated in the north of the Scottish city of Elgin, as part of O2’s GBP 700 million UK-wide Mobile Transformation Plan. The Giga Sites combine low, mid and high-band spectrum with Massive MIMO technology to deliver faster speeds, enhanced coverage and increased network capacity.
