This month’s PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium games are out now (or a portion of them are if you are in the UK, USA, and Japan), which signals Sony’s turn to reveal what PS5, PS4 titles will be leaving the service in August.
The following nine games are set to leave PS Plus Extra on 18th August 2026:
Unlike the PS Plus Essential tier, where you gain access to the games for as long as you subscribe to the service after redeeming them, the PS Plus Extra tier revokes access once the titles depart. If you want to continue playing any of the above, you’ll have to buy them after 18th August 2026.
Of the games departing, the biggest standouts are Unicorn Overlord and Dead Island 2. Both are high-quality titles I’d recommend you play before they leave — just under a month of access should be plenty of time to start and finish each one.
Elsewhere, you will find tons of mindless fun in Earth Defense Force 6, and Harold Halibut and Roki represent intriguing indie experiences.
Will you play any of these PS Plus Extra games before they leave? Let us know in the comments below.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he’s found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
