Hereford FC are pleased to confirm the signing of local lad Jordan Williamson from Hereford Pegasus, following a successful trial period with the Bulls this summer.

The attacker has spent the majority of pre-season as part of Aaron Downes’ setup ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, featuring in the friendly against his former side on July 11th as well as the trip to Bishops Cleeve and victory over Worcester City.

It was Williamson’s enterprising run that won the penalty for Hereford’s opening goal on Tuesday night, converted by another Pegasus alumnus in striker Cawley Cox.

Pegasus’ player of the year and top scorer in 2024/25, Williamson produced more stellar performances throughout 2025/26 to help the Hellenic League Premier Division outfit finish ninth in the table and lift the Hellenic League Challenge Cup.

The captain’s 32 goals in all competitions included four against local rivals Westfields at the beginning of the season – three of them coming in the space of just five minutes – and a second quartet to help defeat Droitwich Spa towards the end of it.

That unsurprisingly secured the forward another golden boot accolade, while he was also crowned players’ player of the season and supporters’ player of the season.

First and foremost, he’s had great success at Pegasus. We’d always planned to take a look at him and see if he was able to step up to our level

“I’m really pleased to be able to bring Jordan into our football club,” said manager Downes. “First and foremost, he’s had great success at Pegasus and we’ve been aware of him all over the summer. We’d always planned to take a look at him and see if he was able to step up to our level, and we’re extremely pleased that he has done that.

“There are areas of improvement we know that Jordan can make and make quite quickly, and I’m excited about the attributes that he can bring to our team.

There is good talent within the Herefordshire area and we’re glad to bring in two local players that are going to make a massive difference for us

“Secondly, Jordan is from Hereford and knows what it means to represent this football club, and he’s really excited and honoured to be joining us. Along with Cawley [Cox], it shows that there is good talent within the Herefordshire area and we’re glad we’re able to bring in two local players that are going to make a massive difference for us.

“I also want to thank Pegasus for their patience and understanding, and we look forward to seeing what Jordan can do in a Hereford shirt this coming season.”
