“We are pleased to see that many patients have reported positive experiences of their practice and the care they receive, while also recognising that experiences vary across the borough.

“The survey helps us understand where services are working well and where further improvements may be needed.

“We work closely with GP practices to review patient feedback, identify opportunities for improvement and support the delivery of high-quality care that meets the needs of local communities.

“We are committed to improving people’s experience of primary care and ensuring patients can access the support they need.

“We will continue working with practices across Lewisham and south east London to share learning, build on what is working well and address areas where patients tell us their experience could be better.”

The NHS England GP Patient Survey is an essential tool for understanding patient satisfaction and areas that require improvement.

Lewisham’s surgeries are organised across several Primary Care Networks (PCNs), working collectively to deliver healthcare services within the borough.

Overall, the survey highlights the variation in patient satisfaction across different surgeries, with some clearly excelling in meeting patient needs while others lag behind.

The results underline the importance of patient feedback in enhancing the quality of service delivery in the NHS.

Patients’ voices are crucial in shaping the future of healthcare services, ensuring that they meet the needs and expectations of those they serve.

This survey not only provides a snapshot of current performance but also a roadmap for future improvements in the healthcare sector.
