These photos were taken from the Sankey Photography Archive, which is made up of thousands of pictures that were taken by Barrow’s Sankey family between 1900 and 1970.

Central Drive curves away to the right, its semi-detached houses marked out by low front garden walls and many double-height bays with distinctive curved windows, echoed by a single bungalow behind the Golf House.
