The Egyptian winger has been on the radar of the Hoops this summer window and a transfer has been being negotiated for a number of weeks.

Real Oviedo hoped to land around Β£10million for their playmaker who performed at the World Cup this summer but it is believed Celts will likely pay less for the talent.

Now journalist George Tsarouchas claims Martin O’Neill is close to landing his target to add to striker Hogh who is close to a record move to Parkhead.
