Kazantseva-Miller said: “Together we are both part of the Bailiwick, and so it is clear to me that we should be working closely together on issues where the islands’ interests are the same.”
“Strong links between our islands are important for residents and businesses alike, and we look forward to continuing these discussions,” she added.
Chair of the States of Alderney Economic Development Committee Stuart Clark said it had been “an extremely positive and constructive meeting”.
He said: “Alderney has considerable untapped economic potential, particularly in tourism, digital development and attracting new businesses and residents, but reliable and affordable connectivity is essential if we are to realise it.
“Through closer cooperation with Guernsey, our long-term ambition is to build a stronger, larger and more diverse economy so that Alderney can once again become a net fiscal contributor to the Bailiwick.”
