Oxfordshire is full of golf courses, as these old photos show, with greens stretching from Thame to Kidlington, Waterstock to Burford, and beyond.

In fact, the county has more than 30 golf courses where keen players get together at various events throughout the year.

There are images of golfers raising funds for charity, winning competitions or protecting their beloved green spaces from development.

It even includes one picture of a golf course turned sled run, when snow covered the fairway.
