The results of the annual GP Patient Survey for NHS England were published earlier this month, revealing patient feedback on areas including their doctors’ waiting times and how helpful receptionists are.

Cranham Village Surgery, in Ingrebourne Gardens, was ranked the best GP in the borough by patients for the third year in a row, with 92 per cent having a good experience overall.

The surgery also had the highest percentage of patients reporting that it was “very easy” or “fairly easy” to contact on the phone, at 89 per cent.

In comparison, 91pc of survey respondents found it easy to contact the practice via the NHS app, but only 70pc found it easy to contact the practice via their website.

Other GPs which were ranked among the top 10 best in the borough overall were also rated highly for ease of contact over the phone, such as Haiderian Medical Centre and Harlow Road Surgery.
