A fire ripped through a historic church in a UK city overnight, with thick smoke rising from the scene seen from miles. Heart-wrenching clips circulating on social media show St Andrew’s Church in Leicester ablaze and smoke pouring out of the historic building located on the corner of Jarrom Street and Gateway Street.
Leicestershire Fire Service confirmed they are in attendance at a fire on Jarrom Street. A warning has been issued for all locals to shut doors and windows. A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Control said: “There is an incident on Jarrom Street in Leicester City, this is sending smoke over the city. Please keep windows and doors closed!”
