Worcestershire County Cricket Club Men’s Head Coach Alan Richardson has today issued an injury update on the playing squad.
The following players are currently unavailable for selection:
Matthew Waite
Matthew was rested for the Metro Bank One Day Cup group stage fixture against Middlesex on Friday after suffering some discomfort in his adductor.
As a precaution, he will be unavailable for selection whilst the matter is investigated further.
Dan Lategan
After retiring hurt with a leg injury in the early stages of his innings against Middlesex at New Road on Friday, Dan returned to the middle aided by a runner to complete his innings.
Subsequent investigation has highlighted a hamstring issue that will keep him out of action for the short-term whilst he is assessed further.
Jack Home
As previously stated, Jack is currently undergoing more extensive assessment after suffering a long-term hip injury earlier this month.
Given the nature of the injury, Jack will be unavailable for selection for an extended period.
Adam Hose
Adam continues to work his way back to fitness after sustaining a hamstring injury during the back end of the Vitality T20 Blast earlier this month.
Whilst he continues to make great strides in his is recovery and has returned to batting, his return to play will be managed with caution and with a return to match fitness still undetermined.
Ethan Brookes
Since suffering a fractured displacement in his left thumb in June, Ethan has undergone successful surgery and is now deep into his rehabilitation process.
He has resumed individual fitness training but is still some time away from being match fit and available for selection.
