Sophia Thomalla gave fans a look at the couple’s holiday through her Instagram Stories. The German actress and model shared pictures from their time on a yacht in Mallorca. Thomalla was seen in a black swimsuit, while Zverev posed in purple shorts.The trip comes after a busy few weeks for Zverev. The 29-year-old had a strong grass-court season following his French Open success. At the Halle Open, he reached the semifinal before Taylor Fritz beat him 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-5. Fritz’s win ended Zverev’s 10-match winning run at the time. The ATP Tour reported that Fritz also extended his lead in their head-to-head record with the victory.Zverev then went one step further at Wimbledon. He reached the final for the first time in his career and faced World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the championship match. Sinner won 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4 to claim the title.The defeat ended Zverev’s Wimbledon campaign, but his run still marked an important moment in his career. After winning his first Grand Slam title at the French Open, he followed it with his first appearance in a Wimbledon final.Zverev and Thomalla have been together since 2020 and made their relationship public in 2021. Thomalla has often been seen supporting the tennis player at tournaments and has been a familiar face in his player’s box.
Alexander Zverev Names Novak Djokovic as His Toughest Opponent
While Zverev has enjoyed his break, he has also spoken about some of the biggest names he has faced during his career. In a recent interview with Knossi, the German picked Novak Djokovic as his toughest opponent.Zverev has faced Djokovic many times during his career. He explained that their matches have often been close and difficult battles. Djokovic currently leads their head-to-head record 9-5.Zverev also spoke about his matches against Roger Federer. Unlike his record against Djokovic, Zverev has a winning record against Federer at 4-3. He said Federer could sometimes be impossible to beat, but felt he had a game plan that worked well against him.”Honestly, Djokovic…Against Roger, I actually have a positive record…He also had days where he was truly unplayable; nobody could have beaten him then,” Zverev said.He also recalled facing Rafael Nadal earlier in his career. According to Zverev, beating Nadal was especially difficult when he was younger because he did not yet have the physical strength needed to compete at that level.Zverev’s comments come after a major stretch in his 2026 season. He won his first Grand Slam title in Paris and then reached the Wimbledon final. With the hard-court swing now approaching, the German will be looking to build on that form after his short break.For now, however, Zverev appears to be enjoying some quiet time with Thomalla before returning to the demands of the tennis tour.
