The event is called the Brandywine festival and is taking place September 9-13 at Weston Park estate in South Staffordshire.
The estate is to be transformed into ‘The Shire’ where the fictional Hobbits live, as the people attending dress up as them and stay in character the whole day.
The festival’s organiser Thomas Miller told BBC Shropshire that he was “Excited to bring the festival to the UK right on the doorstep of Tolkien’s childhood home.”
“We really wanted to find a place that had this feeling that Tolkien had been there, and the Weston Park estate was perfect!”
An iteration of the festival took place last year in Kentucky which he called a “success”, despite inevitable “growing pains”.
The festival will feature “100s of Hobbits cooking around campfires, singing and dancing, everyone there will be roleplaying as a Hobbit.”
The event can also be visited on a day ticket on Saturday, September 9.
“The event is set at a very specific time narratively, Gandalf and Frodo have left the shire, and the Hobbits that visit will be amongst the common folk” added the organiser.
