Alex McGarry, from Andover, celebrated after the spectacular exhibition onboard P&O Cruises’ Britannia in partnership with Clarendon Galleries, which took place in July.
The exhibition proved to be a hit, with 46 original oil paintings sold, generating an impressive total sales figure of £90,000.

Specialising in oil paintings of British wildlife and birds, Alex, who is represented by Clarendon Galleries, has earned a reputation for capturing the beauty and spirit of her subjects with realism and emotion.
From inquisitive robins and majestic barn owls, to curious foxes and playful hares, each painting reflects countless hours of field observation and her craftsmanship in the studio.
As part of the exhibition, Alex performed live painting demonstrations in front of hundreds of passengers during the cruise.
Alex’s passion for art has grown over many years, starting from painting and drawing as a child to eventually turning professional 14 years ago.
Her notable achievements include winning the Up & Coming Artist of the Year Award at the Fine Art Trade Guild in 2019 and being appointed Artist in Residence at the Hawk Conservancy Trust, where her paintings are permanently displayed in the retail shop.
The sale of her paintings at the trust also benefits the charity, with 50 per cent of each sale going towards supporting their conservation efforts in the UK and overseas.
