Tuesday marks the first full day in France for this year’s Tour de France Femmes, after a very Swiss start marked the race’s second-ever foreign Grand Départ in five editions.

In many ways, the part of Switzerland we were in – Lausanne, Aigle and Geneva – doesn’t feel particularly different from France, as we’re only just over the border, but there was a distinct Swiss flavour to the first three stages.
