However, Young has been fairly quiet since then, his runner-up finish at The Open Championship last month notwithstanding.
The 29-year-old will be keen to finish the 2026 season strongly, with three huge playoff events on the horizon.
However, Cam Young‘s focus right now is entirely on winning the Wyndham Championship this week at Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina.

Young was disappointed with some of his golf at the Rocket Classic last week, but his T-8 finish was definitely a respectable performance.
Now his aim will be to win for the third time this season, as the race for the PGA Tour Player of the Year heats up.
Young spoke to reporters on Tuesday at Sedgefield Country Club ahead of the Wyndham Championship.
He was asked to share his thoughts on how he feels about his game right now.
“Yeah, I feel like I’m playing well, so when that underlying sense is there, I’m just excited to go play,“ Young admitted.

“That’s the fun part about this job is when things are going well, like the fruits of that are pretty cool.

“I love being in contention, love having chances to win golf tournaments and I just love competing, especially when I feel like I’m in a place that anything is possible. That’s kind of how I feel right now.
“Yeah, these four weeks, I’m just excited to kind of put my nose down and play.
“We’ll evaluate it when the season’s over. But I feel like I’m in a good place to play some good golf.“
Why Cam Young enjoys playing longer stretches of consecutive tournaments
Young was asked by one reporter why he chose to play five consecutive events to finish off the 2026 PGA Tour season.
“I don’t do it as much, but I actually do enjoy the longer stretches because I feel like you get into a rhythm where I know I have four weeks and I know I’m going to hit some bad shots,“ he explained.
“It makes it easier in a sense to let go of some of the things that happen throughout each day out here.
“You’re going to run into resistance at some point. Rarely do you have nine holes or almost never a full day where it’s just easy.
“Knowing that I’ve got a lot of rounds of golf to play between now and the end of the Tour Championship, I think it’s easier in a sense to kind of put aside whatever happens and just keep going forward, keep putting one foot in front of the other.
“Yeah, that’s kind of my mindset these four weeks is just keep stacking as many good shots as I can and, like I said, evaluate it at the end.“
