LONDON: Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Bader Al-Munaikh received a Kuwaiti delegation of people with disabilities led by Capital Governorate Council member Mashael Al-Kulaib, who are taking part in the Gulf Academy for Leadership and Innovation (GALI) summer program in the UK from August 4 to 10. In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Ambassador Al-Munaikh welcomed the delegation at the embassy and praised its members for their enthusiasm, ambition and commitment to personal and academic development.
He affirmed Kuwait’s commitment to supporting young Kuwaitis in educational and cultural initiatives that broaden their horizons and strengthen their leadership capabilities. Such initiatives, he said, contribute to preparing a promising generation capable of leading Kuwait’s future development and reflect the country’s continued investment in developing future leaders.

Al-Munaikh expressed appreciation to the Capital Governorate for its support of Kuwaiti youth and commended Al-Kulaib for her leadership of the delegation and dedication to creating meaningful educational and leadership opportunities for young Kuwaitis. He also praised efforts to promote inclusion, empowerment and equal opportunities, particularly for students with special needs, stressing the importance of ensuring that all young people have access to education and leadership development opportunities.
The ambassador further commended GALI’s summer mentoring program, which brings together promising young people from GCC countries. He noted that initiatives of this kind play an important role in preparing future leaders by developing leadership, innovation and creativity skills while promoting dialogue and intercultural understanding. For her part, Al-Kulaib praised Ambassador Al-Munaikh’s efforts in facilitating the delegation’s activities during its stay in the UK.
She said the delegation, which includes students with special needs, has gone beyond simply participating in the summer program by taking on leadership and mentoring roles alongside their peers without disabilities. “This reflects genuine messages of inclusion, empowerment and inspiration,” Al-Kulaib said. The GALI summer program brings together 100 promising young people from GCC countries, providing opportunities to interact directly with leaders and experts and participate in interactive discussions, workshops and field visits. — KUNA
