Stars from Hull KR and Wakefield Trinity are among those sweating the Super League disciplinary panel this week, after incidents in matches across round 22.
We start on Thursday evening, where St Helens suffered a home defeat to Hull FC for the first time in nine years, as the Black and Whites secured a 32-18 victory to win the Steve Prescott Cup.
In that game, returning half-back George Whitby was placed on report for a hip-drop style tackle. Should he be found guilty, he could expect a huge ban, following in the footsteps of Warrington’s Sam Powell, who was suspended for three matches for his hit on Tesi Niu.
On Friday night, a late comeback saw Leeds Rhinos strengthen their position as League Leaders’ Shield favourites, leaving Wakefield Trinity wondering what might have been.
In that game, Wakefield’s Caleb Hamlin-Uele was penalised for a late hit on Brodie Croft, whilst Jazz Tevaga caught Alfie Edgell around the head, but that went unpunished.
Hull KR winger Joe Burgess was very lucky not to see a yellow card in the Robins’ win over Castleford. The England international produced a tip tackle on Jordan Lane. Luckily, the back rower landed safely, but expect the Match Review Panel to pick up on that one.
Huddersfield recorded their third consecutive win after a 42-20 victory over Catalans on Saturday, but one man is in hot water after George King executed a cannonball-style tackle on youngster Hugo Cellier.

In the same tie, King was subject to a shoulder to the head from Catalans’ Franck Maria, who was red-carded. Should Maria receive a charge, he will have one penalty point knocked off due to the red card being produced.
Later on Saturday, Warrington’s James Bentley and Bradford’s Connor Wynne both produced late hits on Chris Atkin and Toby King respectively. In the same game, Toff Sipley was put on report for a tackle that forced Loghan Lewis off for a HIA.
Lastly, Wigan’s Brad O’Neill was sin-binned for a tip tackle in the Warriors’ win over Toulouse Olympique.
