The injury nightmare at Bradford Bulls somehow continues to get worse, with boss Kurt Haggerty revealing yet another season-ending blow. 

With departing stars Guy Armitage, Mitch Souter and Sam Hallas just some of the players that are unavailable for the rest of the year, Bradford have now suffered their biggest blow yet, with half-back Jayden Nikorima out for the rest of the campaign.

The former Catalans and Salford man pulled up in the team run prior to the game against Hull KR last week, and will not play another role in 2026 after pulling his quad.

Explaining how his injury has affected the side, Haggerty said: “We prepped all week to play differently [against KR], and then we lost Jayden Nikorima in the team run.

“Jayden’s out for the season, so we’ve lost Nikorima, and that just threw everything off because Riley [Dean] had to go back into the halves, because Riley was playing centre.

“Zac [Fulton]’s gone from back row to centre, Ryan [Sutton]’s gone from starting front row to back row, it just completely threw us off with the amount of people we had out of position as it was. I think it was just a game too far tonight.”

Following that game against Warrington, fellow half-back Chris Atkin is another major concern for next week’s game against Wigan.

The former Castleford man is in a “pretty bad” way, per the boss, with him revealing: “I think it’s forearm or bicep, I’m not 100% sure, but it doesn’t look great at the moment.”

Haggerty was left shocked by just how many injuries his side have picked up this season, with him revealing he has never seen a crisis as bad as this.

“It’s so difficult,” he said. “I can’t wrap my head around so many injuries. I’ve been in Super league for so long, and I’ve just never seen this.

“I know St Helens have gone through it a little bit. You’ve had Leigh who have had their moments, but the severity we’ve had for pretty much the full season, I can’t get my head around it.

“It’s frustrating, disappointingg, because we’ve shown when we’ve got anywhere near a full 17, we can compete with any team in this competition.

“When we’re putting lads out there and exposing them to this level longer than I should ever have to, it’s very, very frustrating.”
