EastEnders is lining up a new love triangle drama for Linda Carter amid the Max Branning storyline. It comes after it was announced that Kellie Bright will be departing the soap as the character.
While her exit storyline for early next year is yet to be unveiled, it seems she will get more involved in her ex-lover Max Branning’s chaotic love life in new scenes.

At the moment, Linda is in the early stages of a relationship with councillor Clive, though she and Max came close to reuniting earlier this year before he started dating now-fiancée Cindy Beale… while at the same time having an affair with Priya Nandra-Hart.
In new scenes airing next week, Max comes in to look after Annie so that Linda can have some time off for a date with Clive. However, it becomes clear that there are still some lingering feelings between the former lovers.
They decide to leave it be but, before long, Max is back to his usual ways when he meets Priya at her flat.

The scenes will lead on to Max and Priya sleeping with each other again on the eve of Cindy’s hen do. He forgets to set his alarm for the next morning, leading to a string of missed calls from his bride-to-be. He manages to wriggle his way out when Cindy enlists Priya to help with her do.
Priya feels guilty though, which is compounded when Ravi proposes to her at the Boxing Den. Priya decides enough is enough and that she must end things with Max.
Elsewhere, Kellie has spoken about her decision to quit the soap, saying she decided to leave a year ago and was persuaded to stay a bit longer thanks to an “exciting storyline”.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
