In an online post, the trust said the puffins would be “disappearing for a full makeover”.
It said: “Just like real puffins, who disappear from our shores at this time of year to moult their flight feathers out at sea, our willow puffins are about to disappear for a few weeks too.
“They’ll be tucked away behind a protective scaffold while they get some much-needed TLC – before making their big comeback with brand-new plumage.”
The trust said people would be invited to take part in a community project to create a giant mural celebrating Jersey’s seabirds and wildlife while the puffins were repaired.
