Bradford Bulls fans are in for an exciting few weeks, according to head coach Kurt Haggerty, who teased incoming signings ahead of the 2027 season.
The Bulls have recently confirmed John Bateman as their third signing for 2027 with the former Bradford player set to return from the NRL in a major deal.
Haggerty’s side had previously confirmed the signings of Wakefield Trinity centre Cam Scott and Wigan Warriors forward Sam Eseh, however, it seems like there is lots more to come.
That’s evident from the fact that the Bulls have now confirmed that nine players will not sign new deals, with mid-season signings Riley Dean and Phoenix Steinwede the latest to be added to that list yesterday.
As such, there’s a need for plenty of bodies and Haggerty confirmed that news will slowly start to filter out over how Bradford intend to replace their departing players.
Speaking at his presser on Wednesday, he said: “Obviously, we’re speaking to people and there’ll be more announcements in the next couple of weeks so there’s some exciting news coming for the Bulls fans.
“We don’t want to do a disservice to the boys because we’ve still got here because we’ve still got a lot to fight for in 26 but there will be some signings that come out in the next few weeks and it’s a very exciting time for the club.”

Bradford Bulls set to sign a new half for 2027
One area that seems to be a particular need is in the halves as three of the players confirmed to be leaving (Riley Dean, Joe Keyes and Chris Atkin) all operate in that position, leaving just Rowan Milnes and Jayden Nikorima as their options for 2027.
Haggerty admitted: “We are actively looking for another pivot at the moment but we’re pretty comfortable with Nikorima and Milnes but yeah, we’ll certainly look to strengthen in that department.”
On whether that could be an overseas signing, given the fact the Bulls have three overseas quota spots available, Haggerty said: “We’d rather look domestic first but ultimately when you have got quota spots available, you do look overseas too. I’ll be pretty non-committal about that this moment in time.”
He also revealed that after a lull in their recruitment following the early signings of Scott and Eseh, the pace has now picked back up again.
“We’ve been very busy myself, Jason Hirst and Brian Noble over the last probably four months I would say,” Haggerty said.
“We started pretty well getting a couple over the line, we plateaued a little bit but we’re picking up a little bit now again and there will be announcements in the upcoming weeks.”
He also noted that there are no specific positions being targeted, adding: “We’re still looking pretty holistically at the moment. We’re still looking at every position it’s got to be the right person, it’s got to fit the blend of what I’m looking for.”
