More than 150 people attended the community event at Doffcocker Lodge on August 12, which was organised by Triangle Community Methodist Church.
Guests were treated to free eclipse glasses, hot dogs, popcorn, sweets, chocolates, and refreshments.

Everyone who attended was also entered into a teddy bear prize draw.
A spokesperson for Triangle Community Methodist Church said: “The event was a wonderful opportunity for local families, friends and members of the community to come together, enjoy the experience and share a memorable afternoon watching this spectacular astronomical event.
“Triangle Community Methodist Church would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success.”
For those who preferred to stay indoors, the eclipse was broadcast live at the Triangle Church Annexe.
A telescope was set up at the lake to capture images of the eclipse and display them on a tablet, offering another way for people to experience the event.
