Neagley, the upcoming Reacher spin-off, has unveiled an adrenaline-fuelled trailer ahead of its release next month. The new series centres around private investigator Frances Neagley, who was introduced in the original show as Jack Reacher’s former Army colleague.
Now the protagonist of her own show, season one will follow Neagley (Maria Sten) as she investigates the suspicious death of a friend from her past. Unable to believe it was an accident, she vows to find out the truth, no matter what it takes.
The trailer, which was shared on YouTube this week, opens with the familiar voice of Reacher (Alan Ritchson), who is set to make an appearance in the spin-off.

“Looks like you had your hands full,” he tells his friend. “You know you could’ve called me if you needed help.”
After a montage of violence, blood and weapons, we see Neagley beginning her investigation into her friend Tommy’s death. Though the police deem it an open and shut case, Neagley knows there’s more to the story than meets the eye.
Her search leads her to the unassuming Echo Canyon Farm, which appears to be a refuge for “people with no place else to go”.
But she soon realises the community is being run by a cult leader, with links to dark and powerful people pulling the strings.

The rest of the trailer features gunshots, explosions, car chases and gravity defying stunts as Neagley inches closer to the truth.
“If you don’t tell us what we want, I’ll burn your business down within the week,” she tells a bar owner, before setting a table on fire to prove her point. “I’m really good at this kinda shit.”
The show, which also stars Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro and Damon Herriman, is set to debut on Prime Video on 16 September. This coincides with Reacher’s season four finale, meaning fans won’t have to wait for their next dose of action.
