Indie rock band Blossoms will bring their biggest headline tour to date to Belfast later this year.

The Stockport five-piece will play the Ulster Hall on Monday November 23, followed by a show at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on Tuesday November 24.

The newly announced dates come ahead of arena shows in Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester, as well as a sold-out concert at London’s Alexandra Palace.

The tour follows the release of Blossoms’ sixth studio album, Songs From The Wedding Cake, which arrives on October 2.

The album’s title comes from a local nickname for Stockport’s Victorian town hall, where frontman Tom Ogden got married.

Recorded live to tape, the record draws on 1980s-influenced funk, disco grooves and upbeat indie pop.

The band recently released the album’s new single, Meet Me In Love, alongside a music video starring presenter Maya Jama and It’s A Sin actor Callum Scott Howells.

Songs From The Wedding Cake follows the group’s 2024 number one album Gary, which saw them team up with Irish singer-songwriter CMAT, who co-wrote two songs on the record.

Formed in 2013, Blossoms are also known for songs including Your Girlfriend, Honey Sweet and their breakthrough hit Charlemagne.

The latter has amassed more than 140.6 million streams on Spotify, making it the band’s most popular track on the platform.
