The Android 16 QPR1 program is still alive and well and continuing to see updates, even as we close in on its stable release in a few weeks. Today, Google gave us Android 17 QPR1 Beta 9!

This latest QPR1 beta update for Pixel phones is available to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro up through the Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 10a. The Pixel 11 series is not listed yet and that’s because it has not officially arrived.

As a reminder, this QPR1 update will be the last major update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, as those devices are scheduled to reach end of life in October 2026. This update brings several big changes, though, and will launch alongside a September Pixel Feature Drop.

As for fixes, Google lists out 5 items that they’ve addressed. There are fixes for a bottom gesture bar bugging out, unexpected loud noises playing during media playback, boot looping, and more. The full list can be found below.
