“I was flattered – obviously.People don’t often believe I’m 60.They say I’m ageing backwards.But it’s all down to a few simple things.My skincare is important.

“I always take my make-up off.I try to walk 10,000 steps a day and only eat between 11am and 6pm.The biggest trick, though? Attitude. It plays a big part in how long you look and feel.

“I feel like I did when I was so much younger – apart from my achy bits – but I get up and live every day like it’s my last.”She begins her day with fruit, Greek yoghurt and honey.

At lunchtime, she’ll have leftover chicken from the previous night’s dinner and for tea, it’s usually an omelette with crackers and cheese or salad.Astrid’s fashion sense also plays a role. She prioritises comfort over trends and purchases her wardrobe from small ethical independent shops, as well as vintage stores.

“Please tell me exactly what skincare you use! I plan on ageing like this,” commented Becs.Astrid added: “We are all getting older. But it’s how young you feel inside that counts.

“Don’t be scared to dress in things you loved at 30 years old.You can still carry that off. You’ll be amazed at how good you will feel – and if you don’t feel brave enough, then start small.Add one thing to your outfit that is maybe out of your comfort zone.”
