Castleford Tigers confirm immediate Ryan Carr exit in brief 56-word statement

Castleford Tigers have announced that head coach Ryan Carr has left the club with the West Yorkshire side sharing that news in a very brief 56-word statement.

It is news that fans have been expecting for some time with the club having previously released a statement on August 5th to confirm that the Australian would not coach that week’s game against Hull KR on account of ‘personal reasons’.

Carr has not coached any games since then and speculation has continued to grow around his impending exit, culminating with the club’s director of rugby Chris Chester speaking today to the media to confirm that a statement was imminent.

Chester would not confirm if that statement would announce the exit of Carr, nor was he able to reveal when the statement would be made, but just over half an hour after his 11:30 am press conference began, that statement has arrived.

It’s even shorter than the previous statement to confirm that Carr would not coach against Hull KR but the club have stuck to their initial reasoning, announcing that the Australian has left due to ‘personal reasons’.
