Burnham-On-Sea’s Towans Care Home has raised hundreds of pounds for a local community organisation after holding its summer fete on Friday 21st August.
The event drew a steady crowd throughout the afternoon, with the Mayor, Cllr Mike Facey, among those attending to show his support. Visitors enjoyed a lively mix of entertainment, music and stalls, with plenty of activities and attractions set up in the grounds for families and residents.
Staff said the day had been a great success, helped by strong support from relatives, friends and members of the community who came along to join in the fun.
A spokesperson for the home thanked everyone who had contributed, adding that the proceeds from the fete will go to Highbridge’s Hardknox boxing group, helping to support the club’s ongoing work in the local area.
